Re: WTB Barrel Swab
Wah???
Edit: I googled rainx and apparently its a anti rain film for car windows / head lights / windshields. Now I'm curious.
And just using to polish some brass, no biggy.

Re: WTB Barrel Swab
The Rain-X trick is referring to putting it inside your barrel, on your goggles, and pretty much anything you want to be water resistant. I suggest you don't do it without further research though.
Re: WTB Barrel Swab
Ah, that explains it. Pretty self explainatory when rainx is just that, water resistant films. Stupid me, haha.
And trust me, I wouldn't dare do something like that. Especially on thermal lenses. Ugh.

Re: WTB Barrel Swab
DO NOT PUT IT ON YOUR LENS!!! But you can put it in your barrel, with a swab and a drill, it helps when you have a barrell break. I have never done it but know people that swear by it.

.
RainX in your barrel is fit for the gods from MY experience. If you break a ball in your barrel you can shoot it out with only a couple balls.

Cheif, trust me, I'm not that stupid.
Ty for the warning though.
And I wonder how it would help with a barrel break. Maybe oil just slides out of your barrel due to it being a slick surface???
And I wonder another thing. I'll have to pull out a spare barrel somewhere to test because I'm curious now, but would this help accuracy too, as your applying a film to the inside of your barrel? Thus in my theory, making your bore smaller? Now wtf is my calipers so I can test. haha.
Anyways. Back on topic, anyone please have a barrel swab? I could just use a dowel and rags but thats a b****...
