Competitive Maine Paintball Team

Post by Corey on Sun Jan 17, 2010 9:51 pm

I've been interested in doing a team for a while, and I thought this summer would be the best.

I just really want to do some local competitive ball this summer and play at Splatz. I want to get like 5 people that blend together, are willing to travel 1 to 2 hours to play, and to be able to play local tourneys and rotations. You have to have a certain amount of commitment, missing a practice or two is understandable. This is for anyone who doesn't want to play NEPL but still wants to play competitive paintball.

Well I'm not looking to travel that far for NEPL games, so if that is what you're looking for, you're not going to find it here. But if you want to play locally, let me know how interested you are.

Competitive as in occasional tourneys in our area, nothing major / expensive? How often are you talking practice / playing wise? Once every two weeks? Often at Splatz?

Practice at least once a month, hopefully two if everyone can make it. Nothing too expensive. Most local tournies and rotations (if we get 5 people we will mostly be doing rotations). Most likely at splatz the majority of the time.

So once a month practice at Splatz in Bangor roughly, two if possible. I could easily do a game / practice once a month, twice would be really pushing it. But I would definitely be interested in learning to play competitively when I get my G3 back. It just depends on how often the tourneys would be???

@ Danny: For tourneys yes, practices maybe.

@ Kyle: There will probably be 2 to 4 tourneys this summer Kyle. We might not play all of them.

Damned google. But within 2 hours of Augusta I'm pretty sure I could handle a game / practice once a month, possibly 2 every other...

And if theres only 4 tops tourneys, if I start saving now I could handle that easy on top of practice. Just how often I have to depend on my parents for a ride. I could possibly do this, but I bet there are more dependable kids with there own cars / jobs that would be better for the team (and better players... I kinda suck... Very Happy). Dunno, put me as a possible in the back of the list of interested people.

I'm in the same boat as you Kyle, and that's why I'm making this team.

Just be warned. If this metaphorical boat should somehow go out to Sea (take off and become a team), I'll eat (possibly bunker) you if I have too. Twisted Evil

But ya. With luck, this summer I'll be getting my permit. I'm 15 now, just got to wait for winter and the black ice to end. Second I have a license / working car, I'll be job hunting. Smile / Sad (but more Smile ).
