I like the photos taken on the Xbox 360, but I was really wondering how you can guarantee live arrival? How do you ship a Gecko so that it does not die?

You ship them in a VERY WELL packed crate w/ 40+ Hour hand warmers (more geckos more hand warmers) its pretty easy.

Yes you can handle them and they are a VERY LOW Maintence, and VERY easy to take care of. great pets!

ok im gonna try and answer the questions everyone has posted since i have been breeding cresteds for a while now. so if everyone could divert questions over here to me that would be great!

to answer trum_15

yes they are nice but as with every animal they have a personality of their own but on average they are extremely nice and handle-able. they will not bite you they are one of if not the most docile geckos out there. it might take a little bit for them to get used to you handling them as any animal will but i have never had a problem. just be easy and gentle with them and you will be ok. the more you handle them the more tame and friendly they will be.

to devon

a tank set up can be extremely simple and cheap. you are going to look at about $40 for the most basic tank. which is a 10 gallon fish tank stood on end with a screen topper on it. pick up some fake plants at walmart (6' vine full of leaves for $4) a thermometer and some substrate (bedding) or you can go all out and spend a few hundred dollars making a completely natural looking planted vivarium.

to sub5
when geckos are shipped they are sent UPS or FEDEX priority overnight. shipping prices normally depend on locations roughly 40 in cities to 70 in the middle of nowhere. geckos are placed in a deli cup with holes punched in the sides, one per cup. they are then placed in a styrofoam lined shipping box with 40 hour heat packs in the winter or 40 hour cool packs in the summer. we are creating a controlled environment in the shipping box which has live harmless reptile stickers on. in all of the shipping i have done i have never had one die on me and iv never bought one that has died during shipping. we spend a lot of time to insure the boxes are properly packed with cushioning materials and insulators to insure they arrive in good health. all are sent with tracking numbers and insurance on the package. if for some reason something happens to them because of a fault on our part we will either replace the animal or refund the price. how ever we are not responsible for carrier delays or mix ups that is out of our control.

a few general facts about them
they are among the larger of the gecko species. they will reach about 8 inches as full grown adults and between 40-60grams in weight. maintenance on they is very easy. there is a commercial crested gecko diet that you can buy which you just mix with water and provide it every day and crickets or lobster roaches can be supplied 3 times a week. although with a complete crested gecko diet you do not need to feed crickets but we do suggest it. water is provided in the form of spraying the tank every night just after sundown or when ever the room gets dark. i suggest leaving a small shallow water dish in the cage because they will drink from standing water too. crested geckos do not require supplemental heating they do just fine when raised at room temperature 70-72 degrees. if your house is not that warm a small heating mat can be placed at one end of the tank and controlled with a rheostat to insure it does not get too hot. all in all crested geckos are a fun pet that will provide years of enjoyment. they have a life span of up to 20 years. all animals we sell will come with a full care sheet covering every detail on how to properly care for them. they are considered a beginner reptile so i know everyone in here is capable of taking good care of them and will enjoy their company

i hope this answered everyone's questions if you have more feel free to PM me and i will answer them for you. also if you need we can go out and buy all the stuff you need to house them properly and in a good looking tank if you ask ahead of time and provide the money to do so

ok these are a few picture i have taken to show you guys. the first ones will show they size they are now

this is an almost full grown crested. male at 30 grams after breeding season

as for tanks ill post these in order of cheapest to build to the most expensive

this one was a little more to make

this is a screen cage set up

this is one of my old breeding cages. its a 40 gallon breeder i turned on end tank alone is about $100 but is well worth it. it was a simple set up nothing special.

this setup is perfect for a single crested it will cost more though because of the tank. this tank will roughly be about $120 alone but it is a showcase tank made to show off what ever is inside

all these pictures are of tanks i currently have set up or ones i had set up. the prices for the full set up range from $40 to $200+
