Filter or No Filter

Post by Corey on Mon Nov 02, 2009 8:47 pm

Should I get rid of the swears in the filter. I've noticed that people would like to speak freely without being censored. Some words obviously have to be censored, but there have been some complaints in the past about the swear filter. What do you guys think?

Its there for a reason.... and yes, I swear with the best of them. I would say this. The B words, F word, and reproductive terms should be left out. Hell, shit, damn, those are mild and heard everyday. And I think I'm the youngest person on this forum so far, so don't worry about offending kids. And I will personally refrain from swearing, by the by. Trying to break the habit. Rolling Eyes Soap sucks... (15, yet still 3)

lol, just making sure. Some past members have had problems with the filter, and I noticed TechPB had a very lenient one so I wondered if ours was too harsh. Thanks for the reassurance though.

The mythical beast [ADMIN] that enforces rules with a club like 98 wonders at the words of a humble peasant found carved over at mcarter. Mayhaps I have been too harsh.

Change one letter in x-mas and you get x-mag. cheers

Since this thread is kinda dead now, its probably going to get taken over with random crap. Thus, my chance (again) to use...

Oh, on the topic of post. I notice for a week I've been the daily top poster... I have no life! Yay! Seriously, my post rate is so linear.
