Zodiak Paintball "New Marker"

Post by A.Perry#21 on Fri Apr 08, 2011 10:53 am

From ProPaintbal.com (taken from PBN)

"Earlier today we unveiled a cellphone photograph of a new paintball loader known only by the name “Cypher”. Our source returns with more photographs of the new paintball equipment and indicates that these new products are coming from a company known as Zodiak. According to ProPaintball insiders, Zodiak is a joint venture founded by former pro player Chris Cole and White Hat LLC. Back in September the group White Hat LLC was formed by a group looking to acquire the assets of Smart Parts. White Hat LLC is reportedly composed of members from Team Master Blasters, an old school paintball / woodsball team that has recently resurfaced to compete in the Ultimate Woodsball League.

A few years back Chris Cole was said to be involved with a gun from First Endeavor Paintball known as the FEP Quest. The Quest was shot by pro paintball team Docs Raiders in 2007. Pro Players were said to have encountered difficulties with the markers at the time and eventually went to another sponsor. FEP continued to fine tune the marker for awhile but ultimately closed their doors to the public. Reports have leaked out during last 3 years through our ProPaintball SmackBox that the Quest was going to be redesigned and revived. ProPaintball insiders speculate that this Zodiak paintball gun is the newest iteration of the Quest. "

Many of you are noticing similarities from the reg design, grips and the feedneck. Recently, there have been some other leaked markers out of Taiwan which have been shown with this parts. These were developed for this marker. Yes the feedneck matches the impulse design, but I think you will find that is the only piece of the marker that was not developed by he company. As mentioned in the semi erroneous rumor mill that is propaintball, the company is Zodiac Paintball, founded by Chris Cole - hes back. The marker shown above is the 3rd edition of their prototype, and is close to completion. This marker has been in development for quite some time, hence the reason you are seeing parts from this marker like the "reg" - which is not a reg, and the grip panels.

An official update will be available very soon which will highlight the specifications of the marker, along with its official name. If you can, please try and be patient, it is unfortunate that it was finally leaked, but I can assure you when the time is right the company will be releasing an official update. If/when I can provide you all with more information I will most certainly do so... we are extremely excited for the launch.

....Another bit of eye candy. Please remember, this is not necessarily the final product, but a very good representation of what is to come.

I always liked what FEP stood for, but never got into the quest. This looks pretty slick.

does anyone else see a problem with this picture? or is it just me

if you are going to show the weight of the marker, why do it with no grips on? who is going to play with no grips. at least put the stock grips on and weigh it. if it was done to prove the battery is in there than put the grips somewhere else on the scale... scratch

It would be an ounce...maybe 2. But that's it. The grips might not have been finalized or past the proto-type phase.

i never said they would weight a ton, but if your trying to show off how light it is, why not weigh the whole marker. i guess my common sense and brian power are just a little over theirs...but i dont want to sound conceded or anything
