Re: new england riot
Saturday was an excellent day for paintball, the weather was excellent and the temperature didn't get to hot. Our team decided to shoot red legion paint, which was the lower end paint, because it was a larger bore to match our older barrels. We got lucky and the paint shot amazing, breaking almost every time.
The day started off well for us, maxing our first game of the day. After walking the field it was decided by Joel that a more defensive minded game plan would give us the chance to see how the other teams were playing, while also letting us capitalize on their mistakes. It worked well, very well. We carried on maxing each game until the final prelim game where we had a poor outing due to a change in tactics. That mistake reminded us that we had to stay focused on our goal and basic game plan.
Finals:
The finals started off well for us when Eric, Joel and Jacob came out of the gate firing and maxed the game against the hard fighting Misfits who throw a TON of paint. They hold lanes very well allowing them to make moves into excellent secondary bunkers. Even still the two brothers got the job done with Jacob making an excellent reactionary move to a misfit player that made it into the snake. Had Jacob not got him, he would have surely taken Jacob and Eric out.
The second finals game saw us fighting hard in a classic stalemate game against the only team to beat us in the prelims. The age of our guns showed with us battling to hold lanes and keep the crypt keepers in their bunkers to limit their movements. We underestimated the game with Joel and Jacob running low on paint, and myself only having one pod left. In an attempt to get Jacob a pod I was shot several times on my right side after moving up to a bunker near Jacobs. After looking and seeing nothing broken I had the reff check me, to which I was found clean. As I went to throw Jacob a pod, one of the crypt keeper’s players shot a lane hitting the pod. Unfortunately the pod is an extension of your body, sending me to the dead box pissed off. With time and paint running low, Joel attempted to run down the tape with what little paint he had left to try and push the advantage to our side. Joel's famous runs of old didn't show as he was shot out shortly after leaving his bunker. This left Jacob against two players. With time running down Jacob was able to eliminate one of the players while running and making another great heads up move and grabbing the flag first, worth 20 points then shooting the remaining player out, while also getting shot out as well. This flag grab won us the tournament because it gave us 20 points over the crypt keepers, while they only received the 3 eliminations.
The Final Game:
The final game was against the hard fighting Saco, ME team that had the overall lead in points going into the finals. In this game Eric, Joel and Jacob started off strong with Eric making great calls and identifying player locations early on. Eric also nailed one of the two Saco players running to the center 50 off the break. This gave us a quick 3-2 advantage, which is hard to come back from in 3 man. Shortly after the remaining Saco player lined up and got a great angle on Jacob eliminating him and leveling the playing field once again. After seeing his brother and fellow teammate gone from the game, Joel made a great move getting the second Saco player out and advancing up the field on the sole Saco player left in the center 50. Sensing victory both Eric and Joel relentlessly fired on the remaining player cutting the angles down more and more until he had nowhere to go and was ultimately shot out. This left us in first place for the day.

From what I was told, you guys should go 5 man. I know a lot of people who were watching / reffing NEPL JR. and had nothing but good things to say. If you're looking to bump and need an extra, hit me up.

i would probably wait till next year to do the 5-man, when the APPA system starts evening teams and players out. Just my 2cents
Re: new england riot
The APPA is extremely easy to get around. There are many many many players that are not ranked correctly and have multipe profile / APPA numbers so they can sand bag.
However, I agree with you.
