Paintball related moral question...

Post by Otter on Mon Jul 12, 2010 11:27 pm

Well, I got wondering something. (Yes, everyone run). It involves both morals and paintball (run faster).

The question here is this. Its 11 pm at night. You found a awesome CL Deal posted at 10 30 pm out of state. You know by morning it's going to be gone. Is it morally ok to flag the post thus getting it deleted?

I mean, consider it like a sale add on pbnation. Rotor for 80 bucks. Would you delete it on the fact you'll have a better probability of getting it?

I'm just wondering, because I can't count the number of deals I've lost to locals, and am wondering. After all, no other fight is fair, so why should it be on CL? :haha!: And I mean, its not like I'd feel guilty or anything (haven't felt guilt in 5 years. Think I killed my conscience when.. edit nvm). I'm just wondering how honorable it is.

Gotcha.

As far as reposting, there is a flag option called reposting or overposting. Twisted Evil

True, very true indeed. But Otters aren't the biggest of animals out there, thus anything goes to win. :haha!:

Ask yourself this question, would you like it if someone did that to your sale? What if he is selling that thing at a low price because he NEEDS a quick sale to fund an overnight plane ticket to see his dying grandmother? But then again you don't feel guilt so I am sure it is not a bid deal....

Am I exaggerating a little? Of course I am, but I agree with Dylan, it's not only shallow, it's pretty selfish too.

It's certainly not honorable, but I wouldn't judge you for it. I have plenty of my own shortcomings to be hard on others for theirs...

No, I wouldn't like it. In fact, I'd kick there a** if I could find out who did it. And if his grandmas dying and he needs a plane ticket, couldn't she wire him funds??? But anyways. Your right, no guilt, no big deal.

On the other hand, your right, it is shallow and shellfish. And it does bother my honor, which is one of the few morals I have. Twisted Evil I think I'll only do it on the great deals (150 profit), anything else I'll leave alone. And thank you for not judging me.

As a ending statement, I got to say, I could have flagged a rt classic last night and got it for 140 shipped with 2 barrels and 3 oring kits, but didn't. Of course, I lost the deal. Sad

Ah well. And its kinda funny. Jim is the devil on my left shoulder, your the angel on my right (no homo).
