Consolidating...

Hey guys,
The place looks nice! It's to have a place for Maine PB'ers to gather.
I've helped and currently help manage and run multiple forums. The most important thing right now is to keep people coming back and make it easy for people to enjoy the forums. My one piece of advice would be to consolidate the 20+ forums into say...5 or 6. Then have separate threads for each marker brand, lump the fields and games into their own forum...separate threads for events and fields. Also, a single forum for Gear, Reviews, Pumps, Semis etc...separate threads again. B/S/T and Wanted could be their own forum. Visitors will get less frustrated looking through 20 plus forums to find something when it could easily be found by looking through 5.

I appreciate the input Mike. The admin of the site is on a brief vacation at the moment, so until then things will be as they are. I agree that consolidation of forums will be a good idea. Once Paintball.Ninja returns from his vaca, I'm sure that this will happen. Welcome to the site Mike!

Good idea, but I'll have to think about that one. I just think minimizing the forums too much will result in clutter. I will most likely minimize the amount of product threads etc. But I would like more input at the moment.

Does anyone else think we have too many groups?

Considering nobody is an Elite, P mod, or GP mod, and we only have 1 W mod, I was thinking about just having Mods and Users. Thats just me though cause I like to make things simple.

Well I think once we expand, it would be better to have mods concentrated on one section instead of 3. I understand that this is not the case right now, but I would rather be prepared then have to do it later. I don't see the harm in keeping all of the mods since it doesn't harm anything else.
