It cost's them nothing for me to play there except for a little electricity for heat, and minor lighting. So $25 for all day indoor reball; fair. Than I go back and it's $25 for one session??? a three hour session??? And we rake up our own reballs? NTY...

Reballs are pretty expensive, Compressors are really expensive, Heat and electricity are not cheap, bunkers cost money. I assume they carry insurance... which is big bucks. If you think its cheap and simple to run a paintball feild then what happened to Rogue? Firestorm? Splatz Portland and Bangor?

They have had the compressor for a couple years, as well as the bunkers, I know they are very expensive, but doubling your price from one weekend to the next without mentioning it? I know running a paintball field isn't easy especially in this economy in Maine. I don't know how BAP hasn't gone under, for a while they were selling their field. It is so frustrating to me that they have such a good location, great resources, the best speedball bunkers in Maine, and it's like they don't even care. Their website still says 18.00 for all day play, and so doesn't the sign on the wall in their barn!? They don't advertise, they don't update their website, they don't sponsor a team, they have no consistency in their customers.

Thats because if you see the kids that run it, they are all hicks that really dont give a s*** about the sport, and they just do it to make a few bucks for alcohol or smokes, im sure they cud care less if bennetts went under.

thats why we should talk to the owner(its merit but i dont know how to spell it). Hes pretty cool. when he sees me in there when hes not busy he stops and asks me how im doing and stuff. I bought my vlocity jr off him last year.

Im sure if we went in a explain the whole thing he would listen. he comes at night to clean up and close the place.

Yeah, he needs some new people in there running it, that actually give a s*** about the sport and that cud clean that place up better.

After playing there I can definitely agree. The George guy from Ruckus (I think) was cool though.

I will say this, in the hopes it can change, as I really did enjoy learning and playing down there, even when I kept getting owned. Smile I was not impressed by the staff at all. There was only one ref I ever saw. Players just kept playing on when they got hit, overshooting... ya, chrono's were lax. Safety was lacking. All of this can be fixed by getting some better staff, or at least two good ref's that can watch both sides. So ya, I agree with corey and whoever he's agreeing with.

In the mean time, I will try to keep going either way. Its good fun, and there are some great players down there.

I would just like to reserve the field on a Saturday or Sunday (which you can, I checked) and just get MainePB players and friends down there. We could tell merrit that we only need like two refs there and we would rake the balls. Then we could probably go from like 9 to 5 and not have too many people. If we planned it right it could be a lot more fun. And the field fee would be $5 less.

Ya, having fewer people would really help. What was there, 4 guys to a bunker unless you were like Aaron and epic enough to book it to the middle. (I didn't dare... I'm to much of a wuss...).

I hated having to look behind me before I snap shot. I would have gotten nailed a couple of times if I hadn't checked.
